Model: Battle Droid Rifle Manufacturer: Larami
Classification: Rifle Nozzles: 1x
Performance: 1.0 Construction: 2.0
Reviewer's Tilt: 1.0 Overall: 1.3
Basically useless performance-wise, and the construction is pretty bad. It is extremely difficult to fill due to a small aperture, and the pump stroke is so short that it takes forever to charge the gun. Only buy it if you're an obsessive Star Wars collector.

Model: CPS-1000 Manufacturer: Larami
Classification: Cannon Nozzles: 5x
Performance: 8.0 Construction: 8.0
Reviewer's Tilt: 10.0 Overall: 8.7
The smallest of the CPS guns, it packs a significant whallop while being superbly portable and easy-to-handle. It's about as big as a large rifle, but the 5x nozzle obviously makes a big difference. We like the 1000. It's small size allows you to tote a second gun, whereas a larger CPS makes this nearly impossible.

A subtly revised CPS-1000 with larger reservoir.

Model: CPS-1500 Manufacturer: Larami
Classification: Cannon Nozzles: 5x, 10x
Performance: 8.0 Construction: 6.0
Reviewer's Tilt: 7.0 Overall: 7.0
A good cannon with good range and acceptable duration. Drop off is a problem, but when used intelligently, can be used as a stand-alone weapon. (Conserve shots, fire in pulses.) Good reservoir capacity. Like all of the CPS's, it has vastly superior drenching power. It is one of the smaller CPS models, but it is not entirely exempt from the awkwardness usually associated with CPSs.

Quickly discontinued in favor of the similar 2500. Rumor is that the 2000 had a safety issue of some sort... We are attempting to verify this.

Model: CPS-2500 Manufacturer: Larami
Classification: Cannon Nozzles: 5x, 10x, 20x
Performance: 9.0 Construction: 6.0
Reviewer's Tilt: 5.0 Overall: 6.7
A large gun, bulky, but good range and acceptable duration. The tracked pump is a big plus, and on 20x, has the highest discharge rate of any gun--however-- it also has the shortest duration, making its overall effectiveness uncompelling. The gun is also very large and cumbersome; it is impossible to carry anything else effectively and its short duration can leave you dangerously vulnerable to attack.

Classification: Backpack Nozzles: 5x, 10x, 20x
Performance: 9.5 Construction: 9.0
Reviewer's Tilt: 10.0 Overall: 9.5
The daddy-o of water guns, it comes with a 2 gallon backpack reservoir. With the weight of the water reservoir on your back, your arms are relieved of a lot of weight, increasing your maneuverability and agility, and decreasing the overall burden of hauling around the gun. We really like the backpack on this class of gun. It also suffers from less drop-off than the other CPS's.

A sort of water crossbow. Pretty useless for real water fighting, but still a lot of fun to use-- How many crossbow water guns do you see?

Model: SC-400 Manufacturer: Larami
Classification: Rifle Nozzles: 1x
Performance: 4.0 Construction: 2.0
Reviewer's Tilt: 4.0 Overall: 3.3
The SC-400 is compact and has a solid 1x stream, but we have some serious issues with it. It's capacity is low. It has an irritating pressure release valve on the back which invariably spits water at you during pumping. The single chamber design also limits performance.

Model: SC-500 Manufacturer: Larami
Classification: Rifle Nozzles: 1x
Performance: 8.0 Construction: 8.0
Reviewer's Tilt: 9.0 Overall: 8.3
A terrific rifle, combining solid 1x performance with good duration with nearly-optimal capacity (not too little, yet not so much the gun is awkward.) Probably one of our favorite models, overall.

Model: SC-600 Manufacturer: Larami
Classification: Rifle Nozzles: 1x
Performance: 8.0 Construction: 4.0
Reviewer's Tilt: 4.0 Overall: 5.3
With its CPS-style pressure chamber, the 600 could be considered a CPS -- except for its decidedly un-CPS like 1x nozzle. It has solid range and terrific duration, with very low drop off. All of this comes at a price. The 600 has nearly the worst pumping efficiency of any super soaker-- it takes forever to fully charge the gun. Also, the pump on our gun is very stiff, and it requires a LOT of force to pump (though perhaps our gun is defective in this respect?) Another complaint: though its measured discharge rate is above average for a 1x gun, it feels weak and unimpressive subjectively. While water seems to explode from the nozzle of most super soakers, it leaves the SC-600 in a well-confined and narrow stream. It's just not as effective psychologically.

Model: SC-PowerPak Manufacturer: Larami
Classification: Backpack Nozzles: 2x, 5x, Others
Performance: 9.0 Construction: 4.0
Reviewer's Tilt: 8.0 Overall: 7.0
We never thought we'd like the SC-PowerPak. It cannot be pumped by hand; it *requires* a hose to be filled. But it has astounding performance in terms of discharge rate and duration. Range was somewhat sub-par. We have some complaints about the construction. The SC-PowerPak leaks. From everywhere-- the tank, the hose, the fittings, everywhere. You will get wet using the PowerPak. Of course, your enemy will get much wetter...

Model: XP-110 Manufacturer: Larami
Classification: Rifle Nozzles: 1x
Performance: 5.0 Construction: 7.0
Reviewer's Tilt: 6.0 Overall: 6.0
A good rifle, basically an XP-70 with two pressure domes, which relieves the rapid fall-off. Also has a moderately larger reservoir, but the effective range is less than the XP-70. It's a little big for its overall effectiveness, but still a good gun.

Model: XP-20 Manufacturer: Larami
Classification: Pistol Nozzles: 1x
Performance: 4.0 Construction: 7.0
Reviewer's Tilt: 8.0 Overall: 6.3
The XP-20 is not a general combat gun. Its discharge rate is less than a 1x, and capacity is obviously very low since it is such a small gun. However, it has solid XP-class range and serves its purpose supremely well: you can start a water fight with almost anyone with this gun. Even if they're not in the mood, they'll only get superficially wet-- not mad... But if they are in the mood, you set your XP-20 aside, the '20 having accomplished its mission.

Reviewer's Tilt: 1.0 Overall: 1.8
Pretty worthless. It has almost no range, very little water capacity, and has a single-chamber design. It cannot maintain adequate pressure. It's too big to sneak up on someone with, and every one that we've owned (six different guns!) has irreparably broken relatively quickly.

Model: XP-70 Manufacturer: Larami
Classification: Rifle Nozzles: 1x
Performance: 5.0 Construction: 7.0
Reviewer's Tilt: 6.0 Overall: 6.0
A bargain of a rifle with superb range and power. Small reservoir makes long engagements problematic, and single pressure sphere results in rapid drop-off. The discharge rate is actually a bit slower than the other rifles, but the power of this rifle makes it seem like you're getting hit hard.

Model: XP-75 Manufacturer: Larami
Classification: Rifle Nozzles: 1x
Performance: 7.0 Construction: 4.0
Reviewer's Tilt: 4.0 Overall: 5.0
Same class of weapon as the 70, but inferior design. Single chamber design limits ability to fire in extreme vertical angles, and poor reservoir attachment scheme can result in the gun flying apart and causing injury. While having good range and duration, pump efficency is terrible-- it takes a lot of effort to charge. It does have a large reservoir for its class, and the tracked pump is nice.
